New Hope Summer Plans

Please read the posting from last week (below).  I forgot to email everyone that I had updated the blog.  Please note: there is a way you can receive email notices when the blog has been updated.  Fill in the request for an email on the left margin of this blog and click submit. 

Scott Wilcox has graciously accepted the responsibility to teach our class this summer while James takes some time off. We will also have a DVD series this summer. Please consider signing up to help with set up and facilitating the DVDs.

Our class will be filling bags for the Presbyterian Night Shelter on July 3. Details to come.

Be sure to attend the Summer Party on June 18 at Knight's house. Plans for the food and the directions to the Knight's house will be sent by email soon.

We discussed the possibility of starting class earlier when we move to our new Sunday School room. Many of our members leave early to usher, sing in the choir, or greet and those members are unable to hear entire lesson.

The following celebrations and concerns are in our prayers this week:

• Denise and Richard have a new grandbaby!
• Helen has been through a divorce and now she is facing her mother's illness with breast cancer.
• Colleen (Rita's friend) has leukemia.
• James and Becky's mother Velma is struggling with depression and anxiety.
