Luke 7 - The Centurion

The lesson this week included the story of Jesus healing the Centurion's servant (Luke 7).  The centurion recognized Jesus has authority in the spirit world to heal.  All Jesus has to do is to speak the word and it will be accomplished by those forces under Him.  Jesus speaks His word across whatever distances, and He delegates His power to be exercised by you and me, here and now, by any authorized means.  That is the message.  That is the insight, if we can grasp it.

Some announcements for the week:
  • On Thursday nights at the church there is a Genealogy class.
  • On Tuesday, July 31, the next Community Center Style Show will take place.
