Rita sent an update earlier today regarding Bill Rogers:
Please pray for Bill Rogers this afternoon as he
returns to Plaza Medical Center for treatment of a blood clot in his leg.
Following the procedure, he will come back to Regency Hospital (6801 Oakmont
Blvd.) for rehab. Bill and Jenny are getting most anxious for him
to be home...let’s surround them with our prayers for healing!
And later Rita added:
Just a quick update...Bill’s surgery went well,
and he will be released from Plaza Medical Center later this evening to return
to Regency.
Jenny sends “thanks” for all
of your prayers and support!
Monday we received confirmation that Ron has Chronic
myeloid leukemia. He is taking a target drug rather than chemo
therapy. Our next appointment is with
the Retina specialist in the morning to check on his vision. This is the doctor who alerted us as to what
was wrong with Ron and got things moving forward. Then to oncologist on the
15th. At this visit we will learn how well the meds are working and discuss
the steps to become a recipient on the
bone marrow transplant list. This is the only cure. The good news is Ron has three siblings. At
this point we do not know when he will be able to be in crowds or return to
work because of his compromised immune system. Thank you for the calls and prayers!
