The pledge to Church Growth and Development from our class is due so our class voted to pay the pledge again. We also agreed to purchase a third carafe of coffee for our morning fellowship.
Last week we ended our Advent series. The lesson this week will be about Jesus' baptism. Please read Luke 3:18 - 23, in preparation of the lesson.
Some prayer requests and concerns brought to our attention this week included:
- Rita Wilson is traveling to Israel and requested prayer for travel safety.
- Jack Bristow is in a rehab center following the car accident that he was in with Jerry. Please pray for his recovery.
If you are planning to go to Jan-Kay Ranch this year, there will be a $25 deposit - per couple now and the total price is $110-per person. The dates are Sept. 28-30, 2012. The web site is http://www.jan-kayranch.org/, if you would like to take a look at the ranch and all the fun available. A deposit for a couple is $25 by Feb. 12 and $195 in April. A single person's deposit will be $25 by Feb. 12 and $85 in April. Emily Harrell will be collecting the deposits (Denise has done it in the past.) Checks are to be made out to Emily Harrell.
