The Bible study entitled The Story will start on September 29. Teachers James and Scott will guide us through the study. For more information about the study, click here. New Hope members will not need to register through the website, but you will be registered through our class.
Arborlawn Youth are planning for next summer's missions. Wednesday, September 18 at Mama's Pizza for carry out and eat-in orders, the Youth will receive 20% of the sales. Be sure to tell Mama's that you are supporting Arborlawn Youth.
David Hunter, an Arborlawn member, and high school sophomore, is conduction a special book drive starting next Sunday, September 22. David is working with the librarian at FW's George C. Clarke Elementary School in an effort to provide books to children who have no books or toys in their home. Look for donation boxes and read more here.
Several members will be traveling to Jan-Kay Ranch for a retreat on September 27 - 29. If you have questions, you may call Emily Harrell.
Glen Lake Camp Work Day is Saturday Oct. 5th from 9- 3 at the camp. We'll be doing a variety of work, suitable to all skill levels. The cost of lunch there is $8 (and for those who have not been there before--the food is great!). Carol Proctor is going to see if we can carpool as much as possible so there will be rides if anyone needs them. Please sign up in Sunday School, but if anyone wants to go and has not been able to sign up they can email Carol at cjprocto@yahoo.com and she'll add their name to the list.
Habitat work days are Friday, October 11 and 18. We will be providing lunch for Habitat on October 11. If you have questions and/or would like to help, please contact Dan McKenzie.
Our class will also be helping at the Samaritan House from 4 - 6 PM on October 17. Details to come but mark your calendars.
The Pumpkin Patch will be held at Arborlawn UMC on October 27 from 5 - 7 PM.
