The Story Continues

Our second session of The Story was about Abram and Sarai, who left their homeland to seek God's direction.  They took a step of faith, but had to find patience to wait on God's timing.

Question for the week: What step of faith is God calling you to take now, but you are still waiting or even resisting?  What can you do to take a trust-filled step and move forward in this area of your life?

Next week please read Session 3, Joseph: From Slave to Deputy Pharaoh.  Remember class is starting early at 9:50!

The Glen Lake Work Day was very productive.  Thank you to Carol for organizing the event, and to all the members of our class who were able to go.

The next opportunity to serve is this Friday, October 11, at Habitat.  The location is 5401 Van Netta, Fort Worth, starting at 8:00 AM.  Please come with the following items:
  • water bottle that will not blow and away, and is distinct from other bottles
  • closed - toe work shoes or boots
  • sunscreen
  • insurance waiver (will be emailed separately)
Work gloves, hard hats, and safety glasses are provided.  Be sure to eat breakfast before you come!
Questions may be directed to Dan (713-208-5217).

There is a special need to fill the Food Pantry so our class voted to donate $150 to purchase some of the items needed.

Happy Birthday to Emily and her birthday buddy Richard!!
