Hors d'oeuvres and Dessert party on Sept 25

James and I missed our class and church family this summer as we took the summer touring Parker County churches.  It was so good to see everyone and be in our new classroom setting.  Thank you to Scott Wilcox for giving James the opportunity to take a few months off to rest and attend to his parents' needs.  A donation has been given to the building fund in honor of Scott.

Lynne Farrar is organizing a Beth Moore Bible Study, Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman.  The study will be held in room 222 on Monday nights from September 19 - November 21 from 6:00 - 8:00.  If you have questions, please contact Lynne.

Becky and Dan McKenzie joined the church August 27.  We had a visitor today, Sue Walker.  Also Kay and Joe Hawkins came to our class.  Welcome to our visitors and new members.

Pot-luck hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be served on Sept. 25, before the concert at Arborlawn.  We will gather around 5:00 to share in heavy appetizers and desserts, then you can stay for the concert at 7:00.  More details to come, but mark the date on your calendars.

Partners will participate in North Texas Giving Day, September 15th, THURSDAY!On September 15th, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every donation made to the Texas Office of Partners for Sacred Places above $25 will receive a portion of matching funds (YES, you read that correctly, MATCHING FUNDS) if you donate through Donor Bridge, North Texas’ online resource that connects donors with nonprofit organizations like us. This is an extraordinary opportunity and Partners is excited to have been approved to participate! The lesson today was on Acts 20.  Please read Acts 21-22 for next week's lesson.
